Time-based limits, taking a break or self-excluding (banning yourself from gambling websites) can be very helpful in reducing your opportunities to gamble. If you would like to set limits on your deposits, you can do so by visiting “Set Limit” on either the Deposit, Time, or Loss Limit sections of your account. Where a player sets simultaneous limits (e.g., a deposit limit for a day and for a week), the lowest limit applies.
-
Control the amount which you can deposit on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Limits begin immediately, and work on a rolling period. For example, if you've deposited your full weekly limit on Tuesday at 9pm, you won't be able to deposit again until 9:01pm the following Tuesday. Once a deposit limit has been set, you must wait until your selected period is over before you can increase or remove your limits.

Control the amount which you can lose on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Limits begin immediately, and work on a rolling period. For example, if you've los your full weekly limit on Tuesday at 9pm, you won't be able to deposit again until 9:01pm the following Tuesday. Once a Loss limit has been set, you must wait until your selected period is over before you can increase or remove your limits.

Setting a time-based limit will reduce the maximum number of hours per day that you are able to spend logged-in to the PointsBet website or app. Any maximum time limit placed on your account will take immediate effect. You can also reduce the maximum amount of time spent on your account at any time by reducing the time-based limit currently set. Once a time-based limit has been set, you must wait until your selected period is over before you can increase or remove your limit. Time-based limits set with PointsBet apply only to the PointsBet website or app and do not apply to other Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)-licensed operator platforms.

PointsBet allows you to take a “Break in Play” to temporarily exclude yourself from accessing the PointsBet website or app, or placing any wager, for a period of one day, one week, one month, two months, or three months. Please note that during this time, you will not be able to login. Your account will automatically be available after the specified time period. You can still withdraw your funds by contacting customer service. Setting a Break in Play with PointsBet only applies to the PointsBet platform and does not apply to other AGCO-licensed operator platforms.
-
You can exclude yourself from betting for terms lasting six months, one year or five years. During the exclusion period you will not be able to use your account for any reason, at any time. Any pending wagers will be cancelled, and related funds will be returned to your account. All marketing material, incentives and/or promotions will no longer be sent to you during the self-exclusion period. You can still withdraw your funds by contacting our customer service. By opting to self-exclude from PointsBet, we will also forward your exclusion to iGaming Ontario for inclusion on the province-wide exclusion list, as per AGCO requirements. This action would prevent you from placing wagers with all other AGCO-licensed gaming operators.
