Dead Heat rules apply whenever two or more players tie for the same finishing position. Your payout is divided by the number of players tied for that spot.
For example: You bet $25 on a player to finish in the Top 10 at odds of $5.00. They finish tied 10th with one other player, so your return is $25 × ($5.00 × 0.50) = $62.50.
