A Point Spread is the point difference set by PointsBet between the two teams. The favourite needs to win by more than the spread to cover, while the underdog can lose by less than the spread (or win outright) and still cover. Overtime is included.
For example: Toronto is a 1.5-point favourite against Boston (Toronto -1.5). Toronto must win by 2 or more points to cover the spread.
If the spread is a whole number and the game lands exactly on it, the bet is a push and your stake is refunded.
